"Louis XVI Style Mahogany Commode"
Louis XVI style mahogany chest of drawers from the beginning of the 19th century, it opens on the front with three drawers with drop handles, and decorated with brass rods. The top is white marble with groove, rounded front corners and projections at the rear. The lower upper drawer is compartmentalized, it is separated from the other two by a brass molding. The sides are two-paneled, they are decorated with brass rods. The rounded front uprights are fluted with brass rods, the upper part is decorated with scrapers, the raised rear uprights are also fluted. This chest of drawers rests on four "spinning top" legs with rings and sabots. Beautifully crafted chest of drawers in very good original condition, fully refinished.
