The cameo in the center is made of carved opaline and depicts a woman in profile, with her hair tied back and wearing an elegant dress and a necklace. This eighteenth-century cameo is inspired by and replicates in style the ancient cameos of the Roman era, with the refined depiction of the female figure from the side. The corals arranged in a circle around the cameo and along the wooden tablet add further elegance and sophistication to the work. Of notable taste and finesse, this object conveys a sense of antiquity and elegance. Made in southern Italy in the second half of the 18th century, it represents an artistic expression of the highest level.
