This excellent painter offers us a charming little painting in the manner of the Impressionists, depicting a view of Quiberon Bay on August 15, 1912.

Our painting is signed by Georges Philibert Charles Maroniez lower right and is in fine condition in its wood and gilded stucco frame.

Biography:

Georges, Philibert-Charles Maroniez (1865 - 1933).

French painter of genre and landscapes. He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français since 1889 where he was awarded numerous distinctions.
He carried out several activities at the same time: examining magistrate, engineer, and painter.

He was the pupil of Mr and Mrs Demont-Breton.

He exhibited in Paris at the Salon des Artistes Français, where he was a member of the society from 1889. He obtained an honorable mention in 1891, a third-class medal in 1905, and a second-class medal in 1906. He was honored with the Legion d'Honneur.
