Théodore Lévigne Large Very Animated Painting Halt Of The Diligence In Front Of The Inn Under The Snow

This superb oil on canvas dates from the end of the 19th century, around 1880-1900. It is in very good condition with some old small discreet restorations (one piece is visible on the back). Its beautiful thick frame is also in good state of conservation. Théodore Levigne (1848-1912) is a well-known and popular painter from Lyon whose works are present in many museums. His stagecoach scenes in the snow are particularly appreciated and regularly sell in auction houses (latest photos). Our painting is particularly animated with many characters. Dimensions with its frame: 97 x 82.5 cm. Dimensions of the painting alone: 81 x 65.5 cm. This table is too large for me to send. It can be picked up on site in Saint-Marcellin, halfway between Grenoble and Valence.
