Antoine Legoix : Rare French 18th Century Solid Silver Wine Taster Chateau-thierry C. 1730

Extremely rare Champagne region Wine Taster in solid silver from the early 18th century, plain model, with cut-out thumb rest with a very beautiful engraving representing an elegant woman holding a glass in one hand and decanter on a shelf, surmounted by the engraving I LOVE SWEETNESS. Border engraved "HUBERT COURTOIS 1730". Sub-Farmer's Countermark Hallmark for CHATEAU-THIERRY (Crowned Sun), Common House Hallmark for CHATEAU-THIERRY c. 1730 and Hallmark of Master Goldsmith Antoine LEGOIX received in Reims in 1701 and who transferred his activity to Chateau-Thierry in 1703.
