Game table richly carved with rocaille motifs. Louis XV style 19th century. This beautiful model of middle table with marble top, also called game table, is a luxurious manufacture from the second half of the 19th century. Made with a beautiful, tightly grained oak, this large model has a lively shape made up of well-marked curves and counter-curves. The table rests on arched legs which are well proportioned to their generous dimensions. The whole is sculpted with well-furnished and well-researched rocaille motifs, like the beautiful shells found all around, both on the crosspieces and the masses of feet. The flora is also well represented with buds of blooming flowers such as roses and daisies with perfectly controlled realism, which punctuate the motifs from the aquatic world. The crosspieces are also punctuated by long, strong acanthus leaf scrolls, while staples mark the base, accentuating the eventful visual of the piece of furniture. The table is topped with a beautiful Medici breccia, this marble is doubly molded around its edge and is the original one. it offers an interesting and most decorative visual.
