"China - Horseman And His Groom - Ming Dynasty - 13th Century."
Nice set composed of a rider on his horse accompanied by his groom. The whole is in glazed terracotta. The rider is dressed in a long coat and a cape and is wearing a hat. The horse is plucked and has a braided mane. The groom wears a long double-breasted coat and stands on a terrace. The glazes are obtained by mixing metal oxides with varnishes based on feldspars fired at low temperatures, iron giving the yellow and red, and copper giving the greens. Dimensions of the rider: Height: 29 cm; Length: 26 cm; width: 11 cm - Dimensions of the groom: Height: 21.5 cm width: 13 cm. Origin: China. Period: Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) - 13th century. Conditions: Very good general condition.
