Oval tsuba, made of thick iron, a master musician and his disciple play in a setting under trees on the first side, one horn lying under leaves on the second.
Beautiful work from Shakudo, each tiny inlay of copper, gold and silver is chiselled, see our magnifying glass photo.
Tsuba having been used, see marks of holds;
Japanese work, Edo period: probably 1st half of the 19th century.
Great quality, unsigned, no flaws;
