Couple Of Ercol Armchairs - Original Tapestry

Splendid, comfortable, and original pair of armchairs made by the famous English brand ERCOL. They feature a semi-circular backrest with wooden bars connecting it to the seat frame. The seat is supported by sturdy rubber straps attached to the frame. The circular, slightly flared legs are connected by a stretcher.

Note the way this piece of furniture is made, emphasizing assembly over any other technique (see photos of the wood assembly). Each armchair comes with a cushion for the backrest and another for the seat, covered in hand-painted English cretonne. This is the original upholstery, of interest to connoisseurs. ERCOL marks are visible on the back of the seat (see photo). In very good condition. Dating back to the 1950s.

Ideal for any location in the house, from the entrance to the bedroom.
