"Flat Back Armchair à La Reine Louis XV XVIIIth Century Stamped Jean Avisse"
Magnificent flat-backed queen's seat from the 18th century. It is in natural walnut, molded and very finely carved with acanthus leaves and foliage. the sculpted arms are cuffed and arched as are the feet. The right back and the crosspiece are also decorated with sculptures. It is very visibly stamped with J AVISSE, cabinetmaker elected master in Paris in November 1745. He is one of the greatest cabinetmakers of his time by the quality of his production. seats are exhibited at the arts deco museums of Paris and Lyon as well as at the Nissime Museum of Camando. the proposed seat is in good condition, covered with yellow Lampas, the missing cushion has been replaced while waiting....
