"Ciborium Of The Sick Silver France Dijon 1819-1838"
Ciborium in embossed and chiseled silver. Domed circular foot decorated with palm leaves on the lid. Knotted stem forming a bulb assembled in two screwed parts serving as a reserve for Holy Chrism and thus allowing both communion to the sick and extreme anointing to the dying. Circular cup in gilded silver on the inside on which a domed lid surmounted by a cross is fitted. The spatula is missing. 800/1000 silver, head of Socrates hallmarks, Dijon 1819-1838 Height: 11.8 cm Foot: 4.8 cm Cup: 4.8 cm Weight: 71 gr Very good condition, beautiful original gilding Cross - small restoration
