"Charles X Pedestal Table"
Charming occasional table in elm burl from the Charles X period.The circular top features a band with an amaranth inlay surrounding a reverse glass painting in the style of églomisé.
This very delicate painting depicts a bouquet of flowers, a bumblebee, and a dragonfly in a natural setting on a pearl-gray background, enclosed in an octagon bordered by a garland of 40 swans.
The cylindrical stem is supported by a sturdy tripod with bronze casters.
