Born in Paris in 1888, Louise Alix, painter, decorative artist of landscapes, still lifes and portraits, studied with Yvonne Delattre and Henri Zo. She exhibited regularly at the Salon des Artistes Français between 1926 and 1941, receiving a citation in 1928, the Bernheim de Villiers prize in 1933 and the silver medal for applied arts in 1935. She also exhibited her works at the Salon des Indépendants.
