Rare period bronze medallion in its magnifying glass frame and brass rim.
Representing the profile of Geoffroy Saint Hilaire. Titled on the left.
Signed lower center and dated 1831.

23.2 cm x 20.2 cm (framed).
Diameter: 14.3 cm (bronze medallion only). References: Collection of the Carnavalet Museum in Paris.
IN VERY GOOD CONDITION with its original patina, note some missing magnifying glass on the frame: as in the photos.
