The taste for objects from the 16th and 17th centuries is growing. Thus, numerous shaped pieces enameled and set in lapis, rock crystal or silver appeared. These pieces are strongly influenced by the Renaissance and the taste for cabinets of curiosities or rooms of wonders in vogue in the 16th and 17th centuries. These pieces are presented at international exhibitions. Several workshops emerged, such as those of Hermann Böhm, Ludwing Pollitzer, and Simon Grünwald in the 1870s.
