Pair of Imari porcelain fruit bowls from Arita decorated in the center with an imperial dragon with five claws. Apart from the usual colors of red, blue and gold, we also find here the color green which is very unusual in this decor. Apocryphal Chenghua mark on the back of each piece. Chenghua - apocryphal six-character Chinese style reign mark Chenghua, 'Tai Ming Chenghua Nian Zhi' or 'Daimin seika nensei' in Japanese. Often found on Imari Arita porcelain. Dimensions: Diameter: 22 cm. Origin: Japan Period: Meiji era (1868-1912) Condition: Very good condition
