Bright and colorful, passion in the treatment of waves and sea spray for this oil on canvas by the Provençal painter Jules Brunetaut, student of Adolphe Gaussen and in the tradition of the great Jean-Baptiste Olive, the leader of the Marseille marine painters.
The work is in good condition, some old restorations on the back invisible on the painting side, it is offered in a beautiful period gilded frame which measures 70.5 cm by 80.5 cm and 50 cm by 61 cm for the painting alone.
It represents rocks at the seaside on the famous Corniche in Marseille, in the background, the Harbor, Ile Maïre ​​and the Massif de Marseilleveyre.
