"Pair 18th Century Glass Bottles, Incredible Engraving Of Animals And Architecture."
Pair of rich thick glass bottles, two toilet bottles undoubtedly intended to be mounted from silver in France, round sun-cut base, flattened body, giving free rein to the initiative of engraver, who, on faces of each bottle, alternately engraved forest animals and architecture, allowing the eye to bring surprising life to the monuments. Neck of each bottle is also engraved of a slightly opalized plant frieze.
Superb glass cutter work, Austrian Empire, Bohemia or rather Silesia, Louis XV period.
Overall good condition, no dflaws;
Dimensions = 11cm x 8cm and 5cm.
