"Plate With Kakiemon Decor Of Quails And Millet - China 18th Kangxi Period"
Porcelain plate decorated in Holland in the Kakiemon style decorated with quails and millet. The border is richly decorated with prunus on a green enameled crackled background. Roosters also appear in cartouches alternating with quails.On the reverse, a Jue jug in a double circle.

Kangxi Period CIRCA 1720.
Diameter: 22cm
The quality of the decoration and the presence of roosters may suggest that it is a decoration from the Yongzheng period, on porcelain from the Kangxi period.
This motif does not appear in Hélène Espir's book on Chinese porcelain decorated in the West, but there is a comparable model. We have not found an identical model.
