Hallmark of an unidentified master: crowned hammer / MF
Diameter: 32.4 cm.
NORTH, PAS-DE-CALAIS, End of the 17th century.
In very good condition, a local consolidation at the junction of the wing and the wall is however indicated by a colored arrow.
This broad wing shape called "à la cardinal" was introduced into France by Cardinal Mazarin.
The typology of this master's mark suggests the attribution to this region. It is probably the work of a master from CALAIS, BOULOGNE-SUR-MER or even Marc FIERARD who received a master in MONTREUIL-SUR-MER before 1640.
