Giant lantern in carved, painted and gilded wood based on a 17th century model. (181 cm high!)
Magnificent large lantern made in the 20th century based on a 17th century model of a Dutch VOC sailboat.
The lantern is richly gilded and silvered, decorated with 6 sculpted male figures, ornaments, scrolls, wrought iron and at the top, 6 winged lions resting on the openwork copper roof. The lantern is hexagonal and has 5 antique panes of glass with an open space in the back.
