The boxes are round, in plain silver. The edges of the lids are inclined and marked with three threads.
The center of the lids is engraved with a superb coat of arms under a count's crown representing four eagles on silver.
I did not find the family bearing this coat of arms.
Each box is punched:
. Minerva 1st title before 1973 for 950/°° silver
. Goldsmith's mark: TFres with a Huguenot for Tetard Frères, a house founded in 1901 following the death of Edmond Tetard, by his sons.
. In full: Boucheron // Paris
The major luxury houses subcontracted and still subcontract their pieces of goldsmithing to major goldsmiths, as is the case here with these boxes made in the Têtards Frères workshops.
Superb pair of boxes from one of the most prestigious luxury houses, made by a great goldsmith, all enhanced by these superb heraldic engravings.
