"18th Century Marquetry Box "
18th century rosewood and amaranth marquetry box. All sides are inlaid with amaranth in four leaves highlighted with a cross-grain border of rosewood in amaranth frames. Interior formerly fitted out as a mailbox thanks to leather-covered compartments. Gilt bronze lock entrance, original lock operating with its key. Parisian work from the second half of the 18th century.
