Beautiful Japanese-inspired flower painting with anemones in an Imari vase. Presented in its large original Montparnasse frame imitating oak leaf. Angelina Drumaux is one of the rare women painters of her period who earned her living as an artist. She is best known for themes as still lifes, gardens and landscapes in an Impressionist style, later evolving towards Luminism. Drumaux participated in several salons during her life, having her first solo exhibition in 1902 in Liège. From 1908 the artist presented her works at Parisian salons.
