Exceptional Russian covered sugar bowl in solid silver from the Alexander III period. Fabulous relief decoration of foliage scrolls and flowers on a hollowed textured ground. A blank medallion on each side is framed by pearls, and interior of the Sugar Bowl is  in Vermeil (Gold on Silver). The "spinning-top" form finial surmounting the domed lid is surrounded by a wooden ring. Well hallmarked piece (body and lid) with Russian Title Hallmarks, Hallmarks for SAINT PETERSBURG 1889, Hallmarks of the assayer Aleksandr Frans Fan-der-Flit in practice from 1882 to 1894 and Hallmarks of the Master Goldsmith with the initials "HK ". Exceptional Russian Sugar Bowl from the Alexander III period with fabulous, particularly refined decor in excellent condition, furthermore serviced and cleaned by our Goldsmith.
