Painter of flowers and still lifes, Frédéric Charles Jung was a student of Jean-Marie Reignier and Adolphe Louis Castex-Dégrange at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Lyon. He exhibited in Lyon from 1886 and in Paris from 1905. He specialized in painting decorative still lifes. He also painted for the Rhône Prefecture and for the Town Hall of the 6th arrondissement of Lyon.
