Pair of frame armchairs, Louis XV style, stamped. Lovely pair of Louis . Dating from the beginning of the 20th century, this is a beautiful copy made in the traditional way with an apocryphal Burgat stamp, with dowel and aged wood and nicely worn and patinated paint, this type of work can be compared to the productions of André Mailfert (1884). -1943), furniture manufacturer in Orléans, specializing in copies sometimes with apocryphal stamps as is the case here. The removable frames (seat, back and armrests) are covered with a very decorative Indian Quenin fabric produced by Lelièvre, in perfect condition. The Burgat stamp is used here to refer to Claude Louis Burgat, a Parisian carpenter who became a master in 1744, known for quality production, mainly Louis XV armchairs with flat backs and in particular many models with frames.
