"Beautiful Alabaster Bust Of A Man Dressed In The Antique Style. Around 1830."
Beautiful antique bust representing a character with a strong personality, furrowed eyebrows, very expressive look. The right shoulder covered with a toga, the left shoulder bare. The bust is presented on a large column in the same alabaster. Maybe Caesar, or a philosopher, or a politician. Around 1830. Italy. These portraits, made in Italy, were then brought to France by the artists themselves, who took boats up the Rhône, and sold their works during stopovers.
