Late 17th, early 18th centuries France or Italy Two large brocatelle borders dating from the end of the reign of Louis XIV or the Regency period at the latest. Linen weft with silk warp with indigo and yellow vegetable dyes forming a large architectural frieze loaded with flowers and bunches of grapes. Note a delicious original patina including abrach forming some color predominances of yellow green, green and yellow depending on the nature of the weaving. Two small period repairs on a border and a few pulled threads do not call into question its solidity for reuse in historical decoration. Good general structural condition.
