"Louis XV Period Cabriolet Armchair"
Very beautiful convertible armchair in natural varnished wood from the Louis XV period. It is in solid walnut, molded and carved, the animated belt, carved with flowering branches, the feet are arched, molded and sculpted, the whip-shaped arms with cuffs, the back carved with flowers in its center. It is in excellent condition, covered with beautiful red-brown patinated leather, in very good condition. It is stamped with Claude Louis Mariette, seat carpenter. Master on November 18, 1765 He worked "at the grand charonne" from where he disappeared towards the beginning of the reign of Louis XVI. HE made excellently sculpted armchairs, but a little hard!!!
