History and genre painter, born in London in 1822, died in the same city in 1904. Brother of Edward Goodal. He obtained the Isis medal, given by the Academy of Arts, at 14 years old. Member of the Royal Academy in 1863. He participated in the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1867. He is known for his landscape sketches but especially for his orientalist paintings. Works preserved in museums: Bristol, Glasgow, Hamburg, Leicester, Liverpool, London, Melbourne, Salford,...
