Robert Sawyers, 1923-2002, British painter and watercolorist, he was a student at the Beckenham School of Art (1940-1942) and at the Royal College of Art (1942-1945) where he received the Herbert Baker Traveling Fellowship to Florence, Italy. After studying in Florence, he began a teaching career at Leeds College of Art in 1947. His greatest gift was the ability to perceive the intrinsic beauty of the most mundane objects and to transform these visual experiences and memories into paintings and watercolors, many of which have been exhibited throughout Europe and the Americas. In addition to being a gifted teacher, he was a world traveler. Artist listed Artprice, Artnet, Akoun, etc...
