"Sterling Silver Boat: Rabelo"
Grand rabelo also called “Un barco rabelo”. 2nd part of the 20th century. The rabelo is an old Portuguese boat from the Douro Valley. It was used to transport wine and Port. It is flat-bottomed, without a keel and has a mast carrying a large square sail and a very long rudder. The barrels or barrels are loaded in the middle of the deck. In solid gilded silver, the sail and hull are finely chiseled with openwork scrollwork. The shell rests on a small enameled base decorated with waves. Set in very good condition and including all ropes. Unsigned. No brand. Possibility of also offering a small model. See last photo.
