"D. Marcellus : “symbolistic Face With Open Eyes”"
D. Marcellus (20th century): “Symbolist face with open eyes”, oval pencil drawing 40 x 30 cm, mounted in a gilded frame repainted in black 45 x 35 cm. Signed and dated 79 for 1979. Some dirt between layers. Close to the Art of fantastic illustrators like Philip Caza or Michel Desimon who were the authors of countless covers of SF or Fantasy books and magazines, these very interesting pencil and stump drawings, of precise incredible, almost photographic on rather dreamlike subjects, take us back to our adolescent readings... Do not hesitate to ask us for photos or additional information by email or telephone. Other photos and many other objects in our stores in Pau and Biarritz and on our site: galerielhoste.com.
