"Porcelain Box, Crest Shape Compagnie Des Indes Decor & Coat Of Arms"
Porcelain box, in the shape of an escutcheon with typical floral decoration of the Compagnie des Indes around the perimeter, in the center of the lid with the coat of arms. The lid rests on the box but no longer closes properly (the bronze or silver-plated brass is slightly twisted). Overall a very good quality with a false Chinese mark in red underneath as well as a sort of Z hollow in the paste, certainly French work by Samson, 19th century No restorations or breaks on the porcelain.
