Description: Statuary white marble sculpture depicting the allegory of summer.

The female figure appears bare-breasted and is partly dressed in a very light dress.

In her right hand she holds a scythe while in her left hand she holds bunches of grapes.

Her head is covered in bunches of grapes and leaves while at her base there is a basket full of seasonal fruit.

The work belongs to that production of profane and allegorical subjects created in the 18th century to decorate villas and gardens of rich patrician homes.

In particular, our sculpture denotes stylistic characteristics, such as the solid structure of the volumes and the way in which the face was created.

The care and precision of the details, the fineness of the face of the robes are of the highest quality.
