Very beautiful Louis XIII sideboard in solid walnut composed of two superimposed parts. The lower part rests on two rave legs at the front and two half-rabbet legs at the rear, all topped with a large molding. the bottom of the piece of furniture opens on the front with two leaves decorated with diamonds and flattened diamond points and has two drawers, the opening of which is ensured by two wrought iron buckles. The upper part also opens with two doors with the same work. The sides of our furniture are worked and have four vertical panels and one horizontal panel in so-called “chocolate” wafers. A beautiful rough cornice covers the whole. The grooves are very thick and in perfect condition, which is quite rare for a piece of furniture from this period. The ironwork (keyholes and mortise cards) are original, the two locks were changed in the 19th century. Note, some old traces of xylophages, we remind you that this piece of furniture dates from the 17th century and that it is in remarkable condition for its age.
