Charming representation of an abandoned portal, of a villa in Rome around 1900, at a time when galloping urbanization had not razed many magnificent details of the past. I thank a Roman friend who located this relic of baroque elegance for me, near  villa Alban, perhaps even a portal of the magnificent villa, destroyed by the extension of the city. maybe it still exists?
