The reverse of the top painting is titled behind: on an arroyo, an arroyo is a small canal allowing circulation in the Mekong Strait.
The interest of these paintings, apart from the fact that they are very popular in the auction room currently, is that for me they are the testimony of what the French saw when they arrived in post in Indochina and in our colonies in the region during first trips like in Dorgelès' novel, on the Mandarin road (which I recommend).
These paintings are signed, the signature must be Buon, Buono or others.
A little cleaning would do them good. Original frame.
