Baluster shaped vase with flared collar of red, blue, white and gold colors with decoration of dragons and flying cranes over stormy waters. Bears the mark and decoration of Fukagawa Seiji below. The Fukagawa Seiji house lit its first kiln in 1650 and founded its own crafts company, Fukagawa Seiji, in 1894. After receiving the grand prize at the Paris World's Fair in 1900, Fukagawa Seiji became an official supplier to the imperial family. Japanese company in 1910.
