Always in search of modernity, he approached, at the end of his career, the style with bright and bold colors of Paul Gauguin and the Pont-Aven School. With his friends Lucien Pissarro, Maximilien Luce and Cavallo-Peduzzi, Léo Gausson founded the “Groupe de Lagny”. This gathering of neo-impressionist artists is a cultural engine for the town of Lagny, where they have organized painting salons since 1900.
