Ida Calzolari comes from a long line of painters in Venice. His grandfather, Enrico, was a professor at the Fine Arts in Venice; she spent a lot of time studying Flemish artists. Ida continued her family's love affair with Flemish art. The ambassadors of Italy, Iran and the United States, as well as many private collectors own his work. In 1983, twelve of his paintings were exhibited in Washington at the request of Ronald Regan. She is currently represented by JMSstringer Gallery in New Jersey.
