Large Pair Of Potpourris By Samson Late 19th Century

Superb pair of slightly ivory white porcelain potpourris dating from the end of the 19th century, beginning of the 20th century, probably by the Samson factory.

in the spirit of the shape of ginger pots known for several centuries, they have the particularity of including a decoration applicable in very high relief with floral motifs:
the branches, leaves and flowers are applied to the pots and stand out in very high relief.
high relief with a very nice quality of execution.
in fact the decor is rotating and we have the impression of seeing decorations of leafy and flowery branches around the perimeter.
the top of the pots form a decoration of melon ribs pierced with holes for perfume at regular intervals.

The holes found in the lids decorated with the same floral decorations.
These two potpourris are in very good condition, there are a few tiny little gaps in the leaves or petals but it is very barely visible.
However, one of the two pots was pierced and then sealed and the other is intact.
these two potpourris are superb and offer a very beautiful decor.
I have already encountered a similar model by Samson but in a smoother and more orientalist or even Japanese decor but they remain difficult to find in such a beautiful state of conservation.
