"Important Flat Desk Napoleon III Period"
Important flat desk in rosewood veneer and violet wood inlaid with lattices. It opens with three belt drawers surrounded by gilded bronze moldings. Rich ornamentation of gilded bronzes. Top of gilded leather with small irons, surrounded by an ingot mold and gilded bronze spandrels. Model by Charles Cressent. Napoleon III period
