Pair Of Neo Renaissance Style Chairs - Neo Louis XIII In Solid Walnut, Antique Warrior

Beautiful pair of Neo Renaissance - Neo Louis XIII style chairs in solid walnut. Each chair rests on two twisted front legs with lovely sculptural work at their ends. The two rear legs have square sections. The whole is connected by two transverse bars with equally square sections and a front crosspiece of the crotch which is animated and richly decorated with a pretty central cartouche containing the profile of an Antique soldier. The backs are high and straight, the upper part of each of them is covered with a brau fabric and topped with a very sculpted pediment. The uprights are finished with grotesque faces. The trims, as well as the covering fabric, were redone quite recently by the previous owner and are in very good condition. Very pretty work from the very end of the 19th century, very beginning of the 20th century. Dimensions: height at the back: 106 cm width 58 cm depth 45 cm
