"Small Candlestick Called "changer" Square Base Faceted Tapered Body In Patinated Bronze Th. 17th"
This charming 17th century piece is a so-called "Changeur" candlestick resting on a square foot screwed to the body in the middle, slightly cupped to collect the falling wax. The tapered body with hexagonal facets is elegant, giving this piece a certain refinement typical of the Reign of Louis XIV. The bobèche lined with large beads. A beautiful piece with a period patina of polished bronze in very good condition. A "Curiosity" from a beautiful collection
