"Les Promenades Du Luxembourg, 18th Century Engraving, Period Frame "
Beautiful engraving, dated 1729, period print, representing the Luxembourg Palace and its park filled with walkers, on foot or in carriages. If the engraving has never been cleaned, it is deeply inscribed in a strong paper, the bowl is very clear. We no longer present, Peintre du Roy, who here is the author and the engraver (invenit and sculpit). It is the master representation of the monarchy. Not insignificant, this engraving is framed in a lovely baguette from the early 18th century (or late 17th century) in solid rosewood (the smell is characteristic) with a slight profile. The window is also old, only the background was changed in the 19th century. For an additional fee, I can have the engraving cleaned by an old paper specialist. Note a very old piece of label on the glass (trace of a former dealer, or a former collector), beautiful vintage print.
