Willy Rizzo (1928-2013) born in Naples, world-famous photographer and designer. He started a career as a photographer, immortalized the stars, took part in the Paris Match adventure and specialized in fashion photography. He is also a recognized furniture designer from the years 1965-1980 in Italy. Its style, combining imagination and modernity, is suitable for all environments. In 1966, in Rome with his wife, the actress Elsa Martinelli, he renovated an apartment in a chic and modern atmosphere with furniture of his creation. His friends, impressed by his style, placed orders with him, including that of Ghighi Cassini, founder of “Jet Set”. Requests poured in from Italian high society, and many figures from the fashion and art world, including Salvador Dali and Brigitte Bardot. In 1968, he founded his design company in Tivoli, near Rome, with a first collection of 30 pieces of hand-made furniture. The successes continued, his company had up to 150 employees. His international reputation led him to open boutiques in Europe and the United States. Influenced by famous architects, his personal style is characterized by simple lines and quality materials, and remains recognizable today. He gave up his activity in 1978 to return to photography.
