Dimensions: 92cm high by 68cm The Château de La Brède, located in Gironde, is a 14th century medieval building surrounded by a moat, famous for having been the home of Montesquieu, the philosopher of the Enlightenment. Born in 1689, Montesquieu wrote major works there, including “On the Spirit of the Laws”. The castle combines medieval and Renaissance architecture, with its crenellated towers and mullioned windows. The estate includes a vast English-style park, appreciated by Montesquieu.
