Sheet And Matching Pillowcases - Linen Thread Bed Set With Jb Or Ib Monogram - Late 19th Century

Beautiful bed set dating from the end of the 19th century, consisting of a sheet matched with its two pillowcases. The whole thing is embroidered with the initials JB which can also be interpreted IB. Beautiful quality of workmanship and very fluid linen thread in a slightly off-white color. The sheet does not have embroidered returns. The pillowcases close on the reverse side using mother-of-pearl buttons and buttonholes. Note a very slight foxing located on the back of one corner of the discovery, but not visible on the front. Old linen in excellent condition. Washed and ironed.
